E-mail Support
After traumatic loss, it is important to communicate by writing or speaking regularly about what you are experiencing. Research shows that survivors who do this fare better than those who do not.
Many clients find great value in a structured e-mail relationship. They regularly write down their thoughts and e-mail them to me as a form of therapy. I in turn, reply on a regular basis, with thoughtful responses that usually contain links to additional reading or information. This is somewhat akin to journaling or writing letters to someone who understands and is committed to your well-being. Clients can refer back to the correspondence many times after the initial reading, if desired.
E-mail Counseling Support: For many, this proves as valuable as talk therapy. Research has shown that talking or writing about traumatic loss activates a healing process in the brain.
